PTFE ROD

PTFE rods,  are made of polytetrafluoroethylene, a plastic material with many unique properties. They are used in many industries, including food, chemical, and offshore. 

Properties

Thermal stability: PTFE rods have a high melting point and can operate at temperatures ranging from -260C to +260C 

Chemical resistance: PTFE rods are resistant to most chemicals and solvents 

Electrical resistance: PTFE rods have excellent electrical resistance 

Non-stick surface: PTFE rods have a non-stick surface 

Low friction: PTFE rods have a very low coefficient of friction 

Flame resistance: PTFE rods are flame resistant 

Applications

Medical devices: PTFE rods are used as sealing and filling materials for medical devices like artificial organs, beakers, and sterilization filters 

Food contact: PTFE rods are commonly used in food contact applications 

Sliding applications: PTFE rods are used in sliding applications, especially in environments that expose the part to chemical stress
