About PTFE TAPE

PTFE tape, also commonly called plumber's tape or thread seal tape, is a thin, non-adhesive tape made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) - a synthetic fluoropolymer - primarily used in plumbing to seal threaded pipe connections by acting as a lubricant and filler, preventing leaks due to its non-stick properties and ability to conform to the threads; essentially, it's a flexible, white tape that wraps around pipe threads to create a tight seal.
